Enjoy outdoor music and evening views of the city and drink in the refreshing summer exhibitions in a casual and spontaneous atmosphere. The evenings feature performances by your soon-to-be favorite bands, along with DJ sets to open and close the night.
Cold Cave, a darkwave music project of Wesley Eisold, is influenced by both Eisold's years playing in hardcore punk bands and his interest in industrial music's programmed aggression. Joined by Caralee McElroy and Dominick Fernow, Cold Cave's music gives way to brooding electronic pop music that is filed with melodic synthscapes and jackhammer beats.
Lyrically, frontman Wesley Eisold offers words that hint at nihilism: "I dread clubs, but I love the music they play in them," and "I find it all so disheartening, what we hope to find when we leave our homes." Eisold brilliantly captures the project's aesthetic: the Morrissey of "How Soon Is Now" wailing over Nitzer Ebb beats. Eisold's baritone voice is as rich and resonating as Phil Oakley's or Nick Cave's. McElroy, who has performed with Xiu Xiu, and Fernow, who is part of the noise group Pruient and owns Hospital Productions, joins Eisold onstage and in recordings. | | About |
