Litquake shakes the peninsula when San Francisco's legendary literary festival comes to the Oshman Family JCC in Palo Alto!
Expect all the rollicking literary fun of great authors, ideas and conversation Litquake is known for with a variety of salons on intriguing topics from sex to writing to food. Noted local authors including Rachel Levin, Ellen Sussman, Leslie Berlin, Matt Richtel, Ellen Ullman and Peter Orner are already confirmed!
Everyone can enjoy an afternoon of music, food and community on the sunny Town Square with live music, food, gift vendors and local Jewish organizations hosting hospitality tables. For kids and families, there will be storytelling, book brainstorming with the Society of Young Inklings and readings by authors.
At our evening "Blues, Booze & Schmooze" no-host social, you can continue to mix and mingle with other adults and guest authors.
The evening culminates with the celebrated host of KQED's Forum Michael Krasny who'll take to the stage to talk about "Jewish Humor." This will be the only Litquake event with an entrance fee.
