More than 900 well-dressed men and women passed through the doors of the new St. John Boutique during last week's grand opening celebration. General manager Robert Atkinson welcomed the who's who of San Francisco into the new three-story flagship store in the gorgeous new Four Seasons Hotel on Market Street.
Enjoying the evening were Donna Casey, sports agent Stephen Baker and his wife Claudia, Bay Area astrologer Pat Brown, Kim Miller (who flew up from Beverly Hills and went home the next day with a few new outfits), Alex Fisher of Fisher Construction, and Alice Ravetti. Also there were Beth Brill, Toni Wolfson, Beverly Charlotte Jones, Mary Ryan, Liz Keogh, Elizabeth and John McBride, and Charlie and Trish Loucks, who is no stranger to St. John.
The evening benefited the George Mark Children's House and the Raphael House. A 5,000-pound bar made of ice featured Precis vodka. Other sponsors were 7X7 Magazine, Delicato Wines and Millennium Partners.
The party was also a family affair for the Gray family – Marie and Robert are the founders and owners and daughter Kelly is the co-president and model. All were on hand to lift their glasses and show off the new store … and also to celebrate the company's 40th anniversary. Time to open up some bubbly…
Speaking of bubbly, Dom Pèrignon recently hosted "The Art of Creation", a three-city, interactive tasting led by Richard Geoffrey, Chef de Cave for the famed champagne maker. The interactive tasting was simultaneously held in New York, Chicago and in our very own Redwood Room at the Clift Hotel. The virtual toast included Nick James, general manager of the Redwood Room, Joel Spalding, the general manager for Asia de Cuba, caterer Paula LeDuc, radio host Gene Burns, and Mark Mendoza, sommelier of Redwood Park, to name a few.
Speaking of bubbly, once again, let's all raise our glasses to Chip and Sheri Zecher who are just returning from their European honeymoon following their wedding last month. Newlyweds Peter and Judy Gum are honeymooning in the South Pacific after their wedding a few weeks ago. Coco and Brian Forster are celebrating the birth of their daughter Logan and Rene and Andrea Schnitzer Peinado are at home with new baby Marco. Good luck and best wishes to all. |
