Patience paid off for the 600-plus guests who returned to the Palace of
Fine Arts for a recent summer fling hosted by The Bachelors of San
Francisco.
The Bachelors returned to one of San Francisco's most beloved landmarks for
"An Evening at the Palace", reviving a long-standing tradition lost when
the Palace closed for renovations a few years back. The group gathered
under the dome to show their support for the Mayback Foundation's campaign
to restore one of the City's more distinctive landmarks. Jan Berckefeldt,
executive director of the Maybeck Foundation, was on hand to showcase the
displays of the Palace's past, present and future.
Guests included Morgan Keller, Patrick Herning, Dana Marie Sanchez, Jody
Harris, Ashley Brooks, Dr. Victor Perry, Zoe Kretzschmar, George Hume,
Grant Wood, Erik Noland, Lauri Levenfeld, and Dr. David Eptstein, and Joe
Lucier. Former president Erik Davis praised current president Spencer
Doyle for organizing one of the biggest and best parties of the year.
Donors Chuck Huggins and Maurice Kanbar soaked up the atmosphere of the
dome before heading off into to Marina for even more summer fun. |
